Crepas - Probably the best crepes in Punta del Este

Staying at La Barra I came to know this creperie called "Crepas" that is along the main road, some 300 meters after Las Palmas (the old traditional commercial center of the town) and on the opposite side of the road from the beach. The shop is small but cosy and with a cool environment. Although not cheap at all, it is a crepes-option that was missing. The size is the standard size, so usually a person gets his full share with 1 unit. However, men may wish to have a second one, mainly because they are very delicious. The price per crepe is 210 pesos (USD 10).

The options are not huge, but enough and original They offer a number of salty crepes and of sweet crepes, with the option to ask the cooks to prepare one on with the combination of ingredients that we choose. That provides a more flexible option, since they can prepare them following the special request of each customer.

The option of fresh juices that they offer in addition to the soda-drinks and alcohols is quite good as well, compared with what is usually offered in the other restaurants.

The music and the overall environment and feel of the restaurant is very good. However, it's a small place built to fit just some few clients inside and some outside. It's more like a friendly option rather than a big sophisticated restaurant.
